A fire was observed at an apartment building on South Park Street, today at around 11 am, with flames visible through a window.
The fire in the South End of the Halifax Regional Municipality prompted a response from firefighters spanning multiple stations on Saturday morning. Flames were visible shooting out of the window of the apartment building.
Thanks to the swift response of Halifax Professional Fire Fighters, crews arrived on the scene very quickly containing the fire and preventing its spread, a testament to their skill and dedication.
A Facebook post from HPFF explained the following: “This incident required a significant response from across the municipality, with crews from multiple stations working together seamlessly to protect lives and property,”
USPA 24 News made an attempt to reach out to Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency to obtain more information, including the possible cause of the fire and whether anyone sustained injuries, but no response was forthcoming by press time. Updates will be communicated as additional information becomes available.
